Presentation guidelines

REGULAR SESSIONS

Please bring your own laptop. Each lecture style presentation is allocated a maximum of 20 minutes.

Please fill in the presenter in EDAS and add a short bio to your profile. We will print out all bios and have them ready before the conference to ease the task of the session chairs. Deadline for filling your info is May 9, 2014.

Please remember that IEEE has a no-show policy. We are expected to report no-show authors to IEEE and consequences can be exclusions of your paper from IEEE Xplore up to authors being put on the blocked-authors list in severe cases.

SHORT PAPERS SESSIONS

If your paper has been selected for presentation as a short paper, you have to prepare the following things:

  • Please fill in the presenter in EDAS. Deadline for filling your info is May 9, 2014.
  • Prepare a poster with a maximum size of A0 that you bring to the conference. During the poster session that your poster is assigned to, you are expected to be present at your poster and discuss with attendees.
  • In the short paper sessions, authors will give a short introduction to their work. The idea here is that you give a very brief motivation/introduction to your poster to raise interest and make people visit you at your poster in the poster session that follows immediately afterwards. We allocated 5 minutes per poster. Please prepare a powerpoint presentation with one title slide and max. 2 content slides (hard limit!). As the session timing will not allow switching laptops, you are expected to send the Powerpoint to us beforehand so we can combine it all into one large presentation. Do not use any fancy fonts, linked-only videos etc. that are not embedded into the PPT and that might not be available on our computers. Please send the Powerpoint to João Vilela (jpvilela@dei.uc.pt) at latest until May 9, 2014.
  • Use the break before your Short Paper Session to put up your poster.

Please remember that IEEE has a no-show policy. We are expected to report no-show authors to IEEE and consequences can be exclusions of your paper from IEEE Xplore up to authors being put on the blocked-authors list in severe cases.
